Nattokinase benefits might be huge!
Nattokinase benefits – I’m not certain why this proteolytic enzyme supplement doesn’t get more attention, but it should. Nattokinase is an enzyme derived from soy that’s commonly used for sushi and is a staple in Japanese culture. It does not have any soy in it, but the enzyme that is purified from the fermented bean is pound for pound one of the healthiest foods on the planet. Although human studies are few, data suggest Nattokinase benefits can be found in:
(although human trials are few, There is a major clinical trial underway at USC for nattokinase)
It works by digesting amino acids and other proteins, amyloid amongst them and others- think Alzheimer’s. This means it has been shown to degrade those proteins that clog up brain cells involved in Alzheimer’s.
Anecdotal cases of Nattokinase benefits are plenty.
Caveat: Quality nattokinase – which is the only type I recommend – is potent. In particular if you take fish oil and or baby aspirin, please do not exceed 100 mg unless cleared by myself or your cardiologist.
Take home – If it’s right for you, seriously consider this.
